We can ease the stress of a breast cancer diagnosis

When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer it didn't take long to realize how expensive cancer can be beyond the cost of health insurance premium. These costs have continued to rise as have the need for financial support.

Inflation has been a major concern in the past year, and the challenges have been widespread. In light of this, in 2023 our goal is to increase our fundraising goals and offer more help to ease the financial strain of a cancer diagnosis. We will support the single mother that is unable to work because of the debilitating side effects of chemotherapy; support the woman living away from family with little to no help, and support the patient wondering how she’s going to feed her family.

At the beginning of this year, with $40,000, we were able to fill the pantries of 132 patients. Can you imagine if we raised five times that much throughout the year? That would be almost 700 patients!

It’s easy to participate. If you’re not into wearing a tutu, you can make a straight-up donation.

• Take a photo in said tutu, and post it on social media using #Dare2Tutu. We LOVE seeing your photos, and so does our community.
• Encourage others to donate and do the same.
