Welcome to my 6th year volunteering with The Tutu Project—raising awareness and funds for women & men living with breast cancer. In previous years, together we've been hugely successful so we’re back at it this year with a goal to raise $6,500.
We'll start small and build. Every donation helps to meet our goal and any donation of $25 or over gets you your very own tutu! I’ve also got some heavy hitters lined up and am so excited to share their story of generosity! Follow me on IG (@lizwith4boys) and you can watch the energy and good feelings build. More Tutu pics than ever before. Silly ones. Fun ones. Animals in tutus. We’ll do whatever it takes – to raise awareness, to raise funds, to raise smiles. And at the end - we'll throw a party for ourselves to celebrate.
So where do your donations go? The funds raised are awarded in the form of grants to 501(c)3 community-based breast cancer non-profit organizations to conduct outreach, provide financial assistance with incidental expenses not covered by medical insurance - everyday stuff that suddenly becomes unaffordable – even for people with insurance. Simple things like a ride to chemo. Child care. Food in the fridge. A mortgage payment. The Tutu Project helps people with breast cancer get through their day with support for all those things that cancer doesn’t care about. When it seems like getting through the day feels impossible The Tutu Project is there with a little emotional support too.
